Why can't I copy a scheduled event and paste it onto another day for recurring, asynchronous events?

This is an absurd lack of functionality. I only discovered that functionality gap when I created a series from 4/3 to 4/27 and discovered the only 3 events were created. (The event for 4/27 was not created. That is another absurd implementation. And without a copy operation, it isn't easy to fix.)
Problems like these make me doubt that the developers of this app are actually using it. If they were, such simple things would have been fixed, I should think.
The graphics are terrific, but basic oversights like these are deal killers.
