Midnight Work-Day Shifts

It would be nice for the Night shift work day would count as the one day instead of transfering to the next. Like having an option of Night time as the day and the day as a function because when i Post my Night shift starting at 11:30 at night and ends at 7 am that is should be recorded at 1 day instead of having 2 Slots on my calendar being used. If that's the case than i get confused on which days I work on because it reads as both days instead of the one because I am working Through and past midnight but it should still be the same day.
